  • I am continually flabbergasted that there are millions of people out there in America who think that any of these know-nothing, pandering, lying, ignorant, deeply flawed individuals would make a good President. They all look like caricatures. It's sad that they are not.

  • Let's step back and take the long view for a moment ... the very long view. Once we (i.e., humans) figured out how to make nuclear weapons, the direction things would go was sort of set. More and more people will have them, including those we would much prefer not having them.

  • Four of the justices of this Court are so conservative that they would vote to bring back slavery, if such a case came up. And Clarence Thomas would probably write the opinion. Support of this law will require the other five justices voting for it.

  • Christie isn't rabid enough to please the Tea Party, so he could not get the nomination. If he did somehow get the nomination, he could be a formidable opponent for Obama. It's looking more certain all the time that Christie will not get in, though.
